Welcome to the online registration for the 7th European Ramsar Meeting which will take place at the hotel Holiday Inn Hotel in Trnava, Slovakia.
Trnava is situated in Western Slovakia, about 50 km from Bratislava airport and 120 km from Vienna airport. For more details on how to get to Trnava please download transport info.pdf.

BEFORE YOU START YOUR REGISTRATION PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS
Deadline for registration: 31st August 2011
Deadline for participants requesting financial support: 17th August 2011
Registration will start on Tuesday 2nd August and the deadline for participant’s registration is Wednesday 31st August 2011. The deadline for participants who will request financial support is 17th August 2011.
The Meeting will last from Tuesday, 27th September until Friday, 30th September.
You can choose to arrive earlier and/or stay later. The prices for the rooms will
remain the same for these additional days. Please indicate how many nights you would
like to book by clicking the dates given in the registration form.
94 rooms have been reserved until 7th September in the
Holiday Inn Hotel
where the conference will be held and 30 rooms in the
Hotel Barbakan
which is situated 10 minutes’ walk from the conference site.
In case you would like to share the room with anybody, please provide the
name of this person in the text box in the section Accommodation. The system
will then automatically divide the full price of the room by two.
Prices for accommodation in both hotels include breakfast, parking and internet.

Please note that both hotels will charge a local tax of 0,66 EUR/person/night. This will be added to the final amount.
Breakfast will be served in your individual hotels and is included in the price
of the room. You can choose to book your lunches and dinners for the duration
of the Meeting. You can choose to book the entire package or alternatively you
can click those meals that you would like to book. The meals will be served
in the form of a buffet in the Holiday Inn Hotel and will include a bottle of
mineral water. The dinners on 28th and 29th September will be covered by the
Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic.
Please note: If you decide not to book meals at the hotel you will need
to organize your own lunches and dinners. You will find many restaurants
offering different cuisine, cafes and bars in close proximity of the hotel,
mainly in the historical centre of Trnava
It is anticipated that participants will pay their meals and/or hotel booking at the Holiday Inn by credit card.
After filling in the registration form you will get a confirmation email with the total amount according to your booking.
Please note that you will need to fill in the
Payment Card Authorization Form if you
have decided to book meals at the Holiday Inn Hotel and/or if you have booked your
room at this hotel. Please send this form until 7th September the latest to
matej.fujka@holidayinn-trnava.sk
in order to finalize your booking and
payment process. If you have not submitted your payment details by this date
your booking for meals and accommodation at the Holiday Inn will be cancelled.
The Holiday Inn Hotel will charge your credit card according to the amount of your
booked services, but not before 22nd September.
Participants that have chosen to stay at hotel Barbakan will pay for their accommodation
at the hotel after their arrival. However, if you have chosen to stay at
Hotel Barbakan AND have booked the meal package, you will need to fill in the
Payment Card Authorization Form
in order to pay for your meals in advance.
PLEASE NOTE: The Holiday Inn Hotel will charge the following cancellation fees for both, accommodation and meals:
Cancellation until 20th September: 0%
Cancellation until 21st September: 50%
Cancellation until 22nd September: 100%
These cancellation fees relate to the total amount of your final booking.
If you request financial support from the Ramsar Secretariat, please submit your registration form by 17th August at the latest, indicate which kind of support you would like to request and provide a reason for your support request. The Ramsar Secretariat will contact you soon after the 17th August to inform you if your request for financial support has been approved. In any case, you will need to book your own room and meals by filling in the registration form and the Payment Card Authorization Form. The Ramsar Secretariat will reimburse you at the meeting.
In case you need an invitation letter to obtain a Schengen Visa please specify it in your form and fill in the necessary details.
Please make sure that you have adequate individual health, accident and travel risk insurance cover as this will not be covered by the organisers. By registering for this meeting each participant confirms his/her own responsibility for providing such insurance.
Participants who have missed the deadline for registration are still welcome to join
the meeting. Those participants should still fill in the registration form
until 26th September 2011 at the latest.
However these participants will have to book their own accommodation. If you would still like
